Reisert Scholarship
The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County is proud to announce the creation of the Dr. John E. Reisert Scholarship at Indiana University Southeast.

Horseshoe Foundation Floyd County Scholarship
The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County scholarship program enables 2011 Scholarship Presentationhigh school graduates in Floyd County who have worked hard, but might not have the means to continue their post-secondary education. These renewable, four-year scholarships provide $10,000 to deserving students.

High school students interested in obtaining these scholarships must contact their school counselor for information on how to apply.

To receive a Horseshoe Foundation Floyd County Scholarship, recipients:

  • must have a "C" average or better in high school;
  • must have a good school record and attendance, as well as good citizenship;
  • must be enrolling in an accredited, post-secondary educational or vocational institution; and
  • cannot be receiving more than $2,000 total in cash scholarships from other sources.

 

To date the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County scholarship program has provided $2.7 million dollars to area graduates.

 

2011
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $525,000 in scholarships to Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. New scholarships for 2011 graduates went to the following Schools:

Floyd Central High School 21 scholarships $210,000
New Albany High School 27 scholarships $270,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 4 scholarships $40,000
Community Montessori 1 scholarship $5,000

2010
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $510,000 in scholarships to Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. New scholarships for 2010 graduates went to the following Schools:

Floyd Central High School 21 scholarships $210,000
New Albany High School 27 scholarships $270,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 3 scholarships $30,000

2009
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $400,000 in scholarships to Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. New scholarships for 2009 graduates went to the following Schools:

Floyd Central High School 23 scholarships $180,000
New Albany High School 25 scholarships $199,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 3 scholarships $21,000

2008
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $408,000 in scholarships to Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. New scholarships for 2008 graduates went to the following schools:

New Albany High School 27 scholarships $216,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 4 scholarships $32,000

2007
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $408,000 in scholarships to 200 deserving Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. New scholarships for 2007 graduates went to the following schools:

2006
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $408,000 in scholarships to 200 deserving Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. New scholarships for 2006 graduates went to the following schools:

New Albany High School 26 scholarships $208,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 4 scholarships $32,000

2005
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County awarded $400,000 in scholarships to 150 deserving Floyd County school graduates in its renewable scholarship program. Scholarships for the 2005 graduates went to the following schools:

Floyd Central High School 20 scholarships $160,000
New Albany High School 25 scholarships $200,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 5 scholarships $40,000

2004
Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County gave $384,000 in scholarships to graduates of Floyd County schools. Renewable scholarships for the 2004 graduates went to the following schools:

Floyd Central High School 21 scholarships $168,000
New Albany High School 25 scholarships $200,000
Providence High School (Floyd County Residents) 4 scholarships $16,000
