Clark County Youth Shelter & Family Services To purchase SafePlace materials to be used in FC schools, parks, and organizations and materials to be used to continue the Parent Education course at Cancer Care Center of New Albany. $2,500.00
Tri-County Health Coalition To fund "Shots for Tots" a program to encourage unconcern/unaware low income teenage parents to participate in the free vaccination project for the best health of their child. $2,566.00
Boy Scout Troop 4025 To replace damaged equipment - tents and tent related items and to purchase 2 new personal information security cabinets. $2,845.00
American Diabetes Association To provide camp scholarships for the Camp Hendon, a week-long camp for kids with both type 1 & 2 diabetes, ages 8-15 with a goal to contribute to a child's ability to take better control of their disease. $3,500.00
Silver Street Elementary To help support their "STAR" T-shirt reward earned by students throughout the year and to assist in funding to replace about 250 school library books. $4,500.00
Carnegie Center for Art & History, Inc. To fund the International Traveling Hooked Rug Exhibit featuring 55 original designs of hooked rugs depicting each playing card in a deck. $4,500.00
Friends of the Culbertson Mansion, Inc. To print and provide 5,000 professional, full color, Souvenir Books of the Culbertson Mansion to be given to local 3rd grade teachers in FC for their field trips& for sale in the Mansion Gift Shop. $4,521.00
Cancer Center of Indiana To purchase brochures, books, videos, wigs, and provide health and medical programs for patients. $5,000.00
House of Ruth, Inc. To continue to provide homeless prevention activities, supportive services and emergency support to HIV+ men, women and children living in Floyd County. $5,000.00
The Louisville Chorus To fund the Annual Christmas Concert held in St. Mary's Church. $5,000.00
IUS School of Education To purchase literacy materials for a resource room that will be used for a collaborative project with Mt. Tabor School to tutor struggling readers. $5,000.00
IUS Division of Student Affairs To provide an orientation service-learning project benefiting Floyd County partnering agencies and the students of IU Southeast $5,000.00
Our Place Drug & Alcohol Education Services, Inc. To fund the designing, developing, and installation of a fully functional and integrated multi-media system for new Education/Resource room. $5,000.00
St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic School To update/enhance the Technology Lab by purchasing 8 computers and hardware and software improvements. $6,000.00
Our Lady of Perpetual Help School To replace current mechanical door locks on exterior doors using an electronic lock system. $8,000.00
Indiana Youth Institute To present a 2-day training, "Preparing Successful Grant Proposals," for approximately 50 people from local youth-serving nonprofits. $8,000.00
Family & Children First To fund the Middle School Express,a prevention program that brings targeted families together for 8 weekly sessions followed by monthly group support meetings and recreational activities to help families with the transition into middle school. $8,580.00
S. Ellen Jones School To fund a project to increase student attendance, develop student assets, improve parent communication and relate social service information to families, and to create safety for children within the neighborhood. $9,600.00
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana To fund the Hazelwood DAB school-based mentoring program with students from New Albany HS where both can experience increases in developmental assets. $10,000.00
Floyds Knobs Lions Club To purchase a vision screening camera with the ability to detect vision disorders and will provide free screenings to children ages 1-5. $10,000.00
Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc. (4-C) To provide child care assistance for low-income and working FC residents. $10,000.00
LifeSpan Resources, Inc. To provide funding to update technology, communication and storage needed for new office space within the Floyd County YMCA facility. $10,000.00
Mt. St. Francis Sanctuary, Inc. To fund the renovation of the lakefront with new restrooms, storage, rebuild docks, and a better access to lake. $10,000.00
St. Mary of the Knobs Youth Ministry To purchase a 20-25 passenger bus to resolve the problem of transportation to and from events, activities, and service opportunities for youth, as well as other members of the parish community. $12,500.00
Youth Philanthropy Initiative of IN To develop resources for families which help them actively pass on the traditions of youth giving their time, talent, and treasure as well as train FC adults and young adults as Youth Philanthropy Ambassadors. $15,000.00
Fairmont Elementary School To fund the Scholastic's READ 180 program for English as a Second Language students. $17,000.00
Southern Indiana Asset Building Coalition To provide individual financial counseling sessions to 100 low-income FC families where they establish a personal spending and saving plan, repair credit issues, resolve debt and establish goals. $20,000.00
Family Health Center of Floyd County, Inc. To subsidize medication for about 1,200 patients of the Center who are of low-income, uninsured and underinsured $20,000.00
Our Lady of Providence Junior-Senior High School To provide educational tools and design space that will help meet the needs of students with learning differences. $20,000.00
New Albany High School To purchase 30 RealCare Babies, 1-Shaken Baby Syndrome Simulator, 1-Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Manikin, and 1-Drug-Affected Demonstrator, to be used in Child Development Classes. $20,000.00
Georgetown Optimist Club To put a new roof on their facility, which is used by the community for service projects, benefits for children by nonprofit organizations, and needy individuals. $20,000.00
Youth Count To continue the community wide initiative focused on building developmental assets, which are the building blocks youth need for success in life. $20,000.00
FC 4-H Corporation To replace wooden bleachers with metal bleachers and replace metal support beams. $20,000.00
IUS School of Nursing To purchase medical equipment for both adult and pediatric clinical simulation hospital rooms at the School of Nursing. $20,000.00
